On February 1, 2024, the triennial chapter of the Carmelite nuns of the Monastery of the Incarnation in Zaragoza, Spain, took place. Archbishop of Zaragoza, Mons. Carlos Manuel Escribano led the election of the prioress. Following the election of the prioress, the chapter reunited and continued with the elections of the other offices of the monastery.

In 1614 the license for the foundation of the Convent of the Incarnation in Zaragoza was granted. Ana Carrillo, the foundress, gave a large dowry, along with two of her nieces, who would enter the convent to become Carmelites. The following year, in July, Carmelite nuns from different houses of the order arrived to take possession and inaugurate the monastery. Among these was Ven. Seraphina Bonastre (†1649) assisted by the prior provincial of Aragon at the time, Michael Ripoll.

With the foundress' property, they acquired a house, patio, and orchard and began the construction of the house. Soon the funds ran out but, with great difficulty, they managed to finish the work and keep the foundation open.

During the government's seizure of ecclesiastical property, what is known as the ecclesiastical confiscations of Mendizábal (1835-1837), the community managed to subsist by dedicating itself to teaching.

The monastery belongs to the Mater Unitatis Federation.

On December 4, the triennial chapter of the Carmelite nuns of the Monastery of the Incarnation of the Divine Word in Valencia, Spain, took place beginning at 10 o'clock in the morning.

On October 6, 1502, seven women, (Sister Francisca Estaña, Sister Ofresina Caldesa, Sister Isabel Moragues, Sister Ana Heredia, Sister Angela Heredia, Sister Juana Gomis and Sister Isabel Ameller) gathered in Valencia-- although not at the current location of the monastery to live the life of Carmel. Present at the ceremony were Father Luis Mercader, prior of the monastery of Vall de Crist, visitator and reformer of the Kingdom of Valencia and later bishop of Tortosa and general inquisitor in the Kingdoms of Aragon, and Master Pedro Estaña, prior of the convent of Carmen de la Ciudad del Turia. Sister Francisca Estaña was elected prioress.

The Carmel was originally dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin. The house and orchards that Pedro Ramón Dalmáu bought were enclosed. However, the Poor Clares of the Royal Monastery of Santa Isabel and Santa Clara complained to King Ferdinand the Catholic about the damage that would be done to the old Chapel of La Puridad with the foundation of the new convent. Ferdinand agreed and the works of the new convent were stopped. This forced the Carmelites, in order to move forward, to give in and a year later, in September 1503, they changed the name of the monastery from that of that Conception for that of the Incarnation.

During the Civil War in 1936-1939, the monastery was destroyed and a new one built following the war. It was completed in 1961.

The Carmelite nuns of Wahpeton (USA) held their triennial elections on November 1, 2023. Presiding over the election was Bishop John T. Folda, Bishop of Fargo. He also offered Mass before the beginning of the meetings and opened the Chapter with a prayer that the Holy Spirit would open minds and hearts to God’s grace in the lives of the sisters and the community and that the prioress would be a servant after the Heart of Jesus.

The monastery was founded 69 years ago by Sr. Rosa of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and six nuns from the Carmelite monastery in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The date of the foundation is October 24, 1954.

Carmelite Nuns in La Vega, Dominican Republic, Celebrate Elective Chapter

The nuns of the community of the Maria Ecclesiae Mater (Mary Mother of the Church) Carmelite Monastery held their triennial elective Chapter on Thursday, October 26, 2023.

The monastery was founded on November 21, 1976, by Carmelite nuns from Santiago de los Caballeros (Dominican Republic) , Ravenna (Italy), and Trujillo Alto (Puerto Rico). After seven years at their original foundation, the nuns moved to a new monastery on November 20, 1983.

The nuns of the community of the Holy Family (Carmelo da Sagrada Família) Carmelite Monastery held their triennial elective Chapter on October 18, 2023. The Chapter was presided over by the bishop of the Diocese of Bragança-Miranda, Bishop Nuno Manuel dos Santos Almeida. The Carmelite General Commissary of Portugal, Agostinho Marques Castro, was also present.

Sérgioni Ancelmo da Silva, of the Province of Pernambuco, is the assistant at the monastery while he studies at the Universidad Católica Portuguesa.

The monastery was founded in 1947 by the Carmelite nuns from St. Ann's in Seville, Spain, headed by Sr. Maria of Fatima and of the Holy Face together with Sr. Maria Pilar. Moncorvo is the first enclosed monastery in Portugal after the laws of the 19th century.

The nuns of the community of the Flos Carmeli Carmelite Monastery held their triennial elective Chapter on September 24, 2023.

The Indonesian nuns from the St. Mary Magdalene monastery in Boxmeer, Netherlands, and three nuns from Holy Trinity monastery in Schlüsselau, Germany, founded the Carmelite monastery in Batu in 1962. The bishop of Malang at the time was Everard Ioannis (Avertani) Albers, O. Carm.

It was the first cloistered monastery in Indonesia. In 1993, the Batu community founded a Carmelite monastery in Palangka Raya, Indonesia.

The Carmelites of the General Commissariat of Paraná celebrated their triennial elective chapter from September 18-22, 2023. The gathering, held in Maringá, had as its theme "We Walk Together Towards God" from the Rule and Constitutions. The motto for the meetings was from Luke's Gospel: "Stay with us, Lord, it is late and night is coming." Míċéal O'Neill, the prior general, accompanied by  José Luis Maza Subero, the Councillor for the Americas, participated.

In 1951, the Province of Upper Germany began missionary work in the city of Paranava, in the State of Paraná, Brazil. Within a few years fifteen missionaries went to the new foundation. They promoted local vocations and two years later, they started a second foundation in the city of Graciosa, where a small seminary house was built. In 1965, the Paranese mission was set up as a provincial commissariat of the Upper German Province.

In 1967, the Carmelites assumed the pastoral care of the parish of Saint Joseph in Cidade Gaúcha and the parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin in the city of Fanny-Curitiba; in this second parish they also erected a novitiate and a minor seminary. In 1968, after the division of the Cidade Gaúcha parish, the Carmelites took over a new parish in the city of Tapira. The following year, in the city of Paranava, the brothers set up a seminary of St. John of the Cross and a middle school. In 1984, the parish of Good Jesus in the city of Dourados, in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, was taken over by the Order. In 1994, the Carmelites left the parishes in the city of Gaúcha and in Tapira in order to start a new mission in the northern region. They assumed the pastoral care of the parish of Our Lady of Aparecida in the city of Rolim de Moura, in the State of Rondônia in the Amazon region. In 1996, a house of formation was founded in Barrio Novo, in the city of Curitiba. At the beginning of the third millennium, convents were established in Manaus and Navigentes (2009) and in Florianopolis (2011). On October 20, 2012, the prior general, with the approval of his General Council, canonically erected the General Commissariat of Paraná.

The monastery was founded in 1656 by a Sr. Beatrice the Sheperd who brought nuns from the monastery of St. Michael, also in the town of Huesca. The monastery belongs to the Mater Unitatis Federation.

The Hermanas de la Virgen María del Monte Carmelo celebrated their XXI General Chapter from July 19 to August 13.

The meetings were held in the congregation's House of Spirituality in Tales (Castellon). The theme of the Chapter was "Be a Transmitter of the Charism: From Our Vulnerability, in the Way of Sinodality".

The final act of the General Chapter was the election of the new general government of the Congregation. This took place on August 12.

The Carmelite monastery of Santa Maria della Vita (SAR) in Sogliano al Rubicone, Italy, celebrated its triennial elective chapter on August 9, 2023. Bishop Nicolò Anselmi of the Diocese of Rimini presided.

The monastery was founded ib June 26, 1992 by five nuns from the Carmelite monastery in Ravenna. It was dedicated to the Our Lady of Life on April 4, 1992. The Congregation for Religious canonically erected the monastery under the local ordinary on June 30, 2017.
